About aluminium scrap
Aluminium covers a wide span of grades, from clean 6063 extrusion through to heavily mixed and painted material. Because density is low relative to value, packing method and loading efficiency have an unusually large effect on the commercial outcome.

Frequently asked questions
- Is painted extrusion acceptable?
- It depends on the buyer's tolerance. Painted material should always be declared separately from clean extrusion so the requirement can be matched accurately.
- Should aluminium be baled or shipped loose?
- Both occur. Baling improves payload for light material such as UBC and sheet, while extrusion is often bundled. Packing preference should be stated in the requirement.
- Are aluminium wheels traded with attachments?
- Wheels are commonly specified either with or without tyres, valves and balance weights. The specification must state which is intended.
