When direct trading is appropriate
Direct trading suits transactions where a firm commercial position, clear payment structure and defined shipment window are more useful than an introduction. It typically requires a well-defined specification, evidenced material and a destination where import eligibility is not in question.
AceComex reviews each opportunity on commercial merit. Where the risk profile, documentation position or specification clarity is insufficient, the transaction is not progressed.
Scope of a direct trading transaction
Specification agreement
A written specification defining grade, contamination tolerance, attachments, packing and moisture expectations.
Commercial terms
Price basis, trade term, quantity tolerance, shipment period and payment structure agreed in writing.
Inspection
Inspection scope, timing, appointed inspector and cost responsibility defined before loading.
Documentation
The document set required at origin and destination identified early in the transaction.
Shipment coordination
Loading, container details, seal records and shipping documents tracked to completion.
Claims framework
How discrepancies are evidenced and resolved, defined by the contract between the parties.
